Mandala is the sanskrit word for sacred circle. Mandalas have been used in many different spiritual traditions throughout the world for thousands of years including Buddhism, Hinduism, and Native American traditions. Psychologist David Fontana believes that the symbolic nature of a mandala can help one "to access progressively deeper levels of the unconscious, ultimately assisting the meditator to experience a mystical sense of oneness with the ultimate unity from which the cosmos in all its manifold forms arises." A Mandala session is an art lesson specifically focusing on the ritual of mandala painting. We choose from a variety of templates or design our own so there is plenty of structure if you want it. We will create a powerful image that helps support what you are calling in to your life. Whether for healing the past, becoming present, or creating an optimal future, the Mandala process will help focus the mind on the desired outcome. The painting later serves as a powerful symbol on your wall that both empowers you subconsciously and consciously throughout your life. These sessions also include painting technique, color mixing, and designing. By the end of the session, you will have all you need to do this practice at home.
